THE BUCKAROO RANCH KINDERGARTEN held grad
uation exercises Wednesday, May 25. A very pleasing pro
gram was arranged many of the children taking their
respective parts with quite a show of talent. Pictured
here are the two classes who, when summer is gane will
join the first graders in Elementary schools. The young

Forest Park Girls Win At Camp Safety Patrol
Beauty, talent and skill were
in abundance as the Forest
Park girls distinguished theme
selves at Camp Safety Patrol
the week of June 12, Twenty=
two girls journeyed to Cordele
for a week of recreation and
safety education, accompanied
by Counselors Evelyn Toole
and Carolyn Willy, Over 350
girls from various parts of the
state were also in attendance,
yet by the end of the week
all were conscious of the For=-
est Park citizens,
Participating in the swimming
events Peggy Smith captured
three blue ribbons for free=
style, backstroke and breast
stroke and a red ribbon for re=
lays, Lynn Rice also received
a red ribbon for the swim re=
lays plus a blue ribbon for ar=
chery competition,
In the softball division Candy
Toole and Cindy Stanford made
the All-Star team with Susan
Burgess and Joan Butler as
alternates, Outstanding achi=
evement on the bicycle obstacle
course was performed by 7=

posted the lowest score of the

The semi-annual meeting of the
Florida Chapter, Associated
Public Safety Communications
Officers, Inc, (APCO), will be
held in St, Petersburg June
23-24, Eighty members of the
state chapter, with their wives
and children, are expected to
attend this meetinr; at the Prine
cess Martha Hotel in downtown
St. Petersburg.
APCO 1s a group of com=
munications officers employ=
ed various governmental de=
partments to plan, maintain and
operate their radio, wire and
teletype, public-safety com
munications systems within the
states of Florida, Georgla, Ala=-
bama and Tennessee,
This is the first conference
in St, Petersbury since this
chapter was organized about

in the Counselors vs, All-Stars
| softball game, Mrs, Toole was
the losing pitcher in the 29-8
game,
Again Forest Park was spot=
lighted as four of our girls
were chosen to compete in the
beauty pageant, Susan Spratlin
and Suzanne Peek were entrants
in the lleyear-and=-under di=
vision, Nancy Simmons repre=
sented us in the 12 and 13
division and Candy Toole was
entered in the 14-and-over in
which she took top honors,
Candy was presented a trophy,
the traditional red roses, and
was crowned Miss Camp Safety
Patrol 1966 by Captain L, E,
Butler, director of the Safety
Division of the Georgla State
Patrol,
Other girls attending the camp
were Harriett Bowen, Shirley
Richardson, Barbara Tittle,
Patricia Young, Martha Cagle,
Marsha Ann Bell, Cynthia Ann
Sketo, Suzanne Sanders and
Dehorah Buttrum,
The sponsorship of 12 of these
girls and transportation provid=
ed by the City of Forest Park
