1. That petitioners desire for themselves,
their associates and assigns, to be incorp
orated under the name and style of:
CLAYTON COUNTY VETERANS. INC.
2. The general'nature of the business to
be conducted by said Corporation is the
operation of a club tor veterans, with a
purpose to do all things necessary and
usual for such a club, looking to the
social and spiritual betterment of the mem
bership and the community, as well as
the Country: and. in order to accomplish
said objective, to buy. lease, rent and
otherwise, acquire real and personal prop
erty necessary to consummate same, and
to dispose of such property acquired in
the interest of the club or the community
or the Country! and to do all other acts
and operate such businesses as are neces
sary or useful and germane to the opera
tion of a veterans club.
3. Said corporation is not organized for
the purpose of pecuniary gain. and no
individual shall profit from the operation
of any business conducted in connection
with club activities.
4. Said corporation desires to begin oper
ation without issuance of any capital stock
and with no capital.
5. Petitioners desire the right of said
corporation to exist for a period of thirty
five <3s j years. The principal office ■.hall
be in Clayton County, at “Wimberly’s”,
Morrow. Georgia, with a right to remove
same to any place within the county.
WHEREFORE, petitioners pray that they
be incorporated under the name and style
aforesaid, for the purposes herein set out.
and with all the powers, privileges and
immunities granted to like corporations.

ance with an ordinance adopted by the

Sealed bids will be received by the Clay
ton County Water Authority at the court
j house, Jonesboro, Georgia until 2.00 p. m.,
E. S. T., September 15, 1955, for construc
tion of certain parts of contracts in the
complete Water System, at which time and
place said bids will be opened and con
sidered. Bids received after the designated
time will not be considered.
Work or contracts upon which bids will
be received at the date and time above
referred to are as follows:
CONTRACT NO. 4
Install approximately 42,000 lineal feet
of 16” steel pipe water main together
with necessary fittings, valves and hyd
rants, the main to extend from Indian
Creek at a point approximately 3 miles
southeast of Stockbridge, along State Route
138. across country and along State Route
42 to Harbin Road, all in locations as
shown on the plans and /or as directed
by the Engineers.
Plans and specifications may be exam
ined at the office of the Water Authority
at Jonesboro. Georgia or the Engineers’
office in Atlanta. Georgia. They may be
obtained from the Engineers, Robert and
Company Associates. 96 Poplar Street. N.
W. Atlanta, upon deposit of $15.00, one
half of which will be returned to actual
bidders upon return of the plans and
specifications within 10 days after opening
of bids.
Bids must be accompanied by certified
check or bid bond in amount of not less
than 5% of amount of bid. A contract
performance , bond of 100$; of contract
price will be required for all contracts.
No blds may be withdrawn for a period
of 60 days from date of opening. The
Water Authority reserves the right to re
ject any or all bids, to waive informalities
and to decide which bid or bids are to the
best interests of the Water Authority.

Atlanta, as Agent and Attorney-in-Fact lor

Thousand Twenty-Five ($8,025.00) Dollars
with interest from September-17. 1946, at
the rate of four e (4^ » per cent per annum
as evidenced by one note dated September
17. 1946, said principal and interest being
payable in monthly installments of Forty-
Eight Dollars and Sixty-Three Cents
($48.63) each on the first day of each and
every month commencing on the first day
of November, 1946. The said Earl J. Rob
ertson, maker of said note, having default
ed in the payment of the said installments

Octdber, November and December, 1954,
and January, February, March, April, May,

ed to pay principal and Interest before the
expiration of ten (10) days from receipt
of said notice. Said note and deed to se
cure debt provides for the payment of ten
(10%) per cent of the principal and in
terest owing thereon as attorney's fees if
the note is collected by law.

for the granting of a charter for a pri

sociates and successors, to he incorporated
under the name of “PINE VALLEY HOMES,
INC. The principal office and place of
business of said corporation shall be lo
cated in Clayton County. Georgia, with the
privilege of establishing branch offices and
places of business in such other places as
may be determined.

poration is pecuniary gain and profit to

the business to be transacted is. and the

to purchase, lease build, construct, erect,
occupy, and manage buildings of every
kind and character whatsoever; to finance
and purchase, improvement, development,
and construction of land and buildings be
longing to or to be acquired by this com
pany, or any other person, firm, or Cor
poration.
B. To have all of the powers and enjoy
all of the privileges enumerated in sec
tions 22-1827 and 22-1870 of the Code of
Georgia and all of the other powers and
privileges enumerated in Chapters 22-18
and 22-19 of said Code and all of the
powers and privileges enumerated therein
are made a part hereof to the same ex
tent as If the same were quoted herein;
4. The time for which said corporation
is to have existence is Thirty-Five (35)
years.
5. The amount of the Capitol with which
the corporation will begin business shall

The capital stock of said company shall
be divided into 100 shares of common
stock of the face or par value of SIOO.OO
dollars per share.
The holders of the common stock shall
control the corporation. The holders of
each share of common stock shall be en
titled to 1 vote per share.

fined to the unpaid purchase price of the
stock subscribed for by each.

corporated under the name and style afore
said, with all the rights and privileges
herein set out and such additional powers
and privileges as may be necessary, proper
or incident to the conduct of the business
for which applicants are asking incorpora
tion, and as may be allowed like corpora
tion under the laws of Georgia as they
now or may hereafter exist.
