“Indecision Breeds Grief’
Many of us hesitate to assume the responsibility of taking
a stand —of making a decision — yet it is this very thing
which gives us strength. Do not hesitate to make a move for
fear it will not be the right one ... a mistake shows an effort
has been made whereas nothing is ever accomplished by in
activity. How much wiser to make a decision and fail like a
man; than remain neutral and succeed like a mouse. How
much stronger to fall from a standing position than live on
your knees.
Failure is often the forerunner of success because it spurs
one to new efforts. You know it’s not how many times you
fall that matters . . . it's how many times you get up that
counts!

25 Players Preparing
For Clayton Adult Team
Approximately 25 former foot
ball players, including a number
who were star athletes in high
school and college, turned out at
Kiwanis Field Sunday afternoon,
September 25, for two hours of
practice, according to T. L. Pike,
of the Expressway Theatre, who
took the initial steps to organize
the team.
These players, and others who
are expected to turn out this
week, will make up a Clayton
County adult football team
which will go into action this Fall
against other adult teams and
possibly several military teams.
A second practice session was
held last Wednesday night with
25 boys on hand.
Pike said that workouts so far
were to get the men in shape,
and that there was no rough
scrimmage, since uniforms had
not been available.
