to W. J. Leatherman, dated July 16, 1954,

Clayton County Land Records, there will
be sold at public outcry, for cash, to the

of Clayton County, Georgia, during the
legal hours of sale, on the first Tuesday

two parcels, the first parcel being more
particularly described as follows: Beginning
at the Northeast corner at a stone on the
•County Line between Clayton and Fulton
Counties: running west along said County
Line 866 feet to a point: thence South
7 Deg. East 741 feet to a road to be
opened by the agreement of property
owners: thence following said road in an
Easterly direction to where it enters
Brown's Mill Road: thence North to be
ginning point. Containing 13.53 Acres.
The second parcel lying just South of
the one above described; having as its
Northerly boundary the contemplated road
above referred to: its Western boundary
being a line 754 feet: its Eastern boundary
being a line 697 feet in length: Containing

Minutes of City Council
City of Jonesboro
Regular meeting of City Council was
held on the above date in City Hall at
7 30 P. M.. with Mayor Dickson and all
members present except Mr. Porter.
Minutes of last meeting read and ap
proved.
Motion made by Tanner seconded by
Longdln. that J. D. Carmack, Robert
Swint and J. A. Garner be appointed to
purge the voters list and to hold the
election December 14. 1955. Motion carri -J
Motion by Camp seconded by Swint
that Engineering Contracts submitted by
J. B. McCrary Co., on water and sanitary
improvements be accepted. Motion passed.
Building permit of J. C. Jarrard to
build office building approved subject to
payment of building permit, as recommend
ed by the Zoning Committee. — Permit
approved for E. T. Holcombe to build a
2*car garage in back of his lot located
on King street.
Motion made and passed that City
employ Mack Carnes as understudy clerk
to Irene Arnold, Clerk, at a salary of
SIOO. for the month of Decemoer.
Bills ordered paid.
