councilmen. All candidates are
running in uncontested races.
It is a most unusual situation
in any political election when
the outcome can be determined
in advance, without any ques
tion of doubt. All candidates who
will be voted Into office are well
known for their civic service.
The rumor is: There are three major beer
companies in Atlanta sponsoring me. This I
assure you is in error as I have turned down
personal friends who have offered me assist
ance in this race and I have repeatedly slated
that I am taking care of all bills personally.
I urge all citizens to Keep the Faith, do your
duly, go to the polls and cast your vote and

Five acres of land has been
purchased on College Street,
Forest Park, Georgia, by the
Forest Park Methodist Church.
This tract of land is known as
the Matheson property, and is
located on the left side of Col
lege Street before entering high
way 54.
The house and lot on Mitchell
Street was bought previously by
the church but was found to be
an undesirable location. The
tract of land recently purchased
on Collegh street will be large
enough for a Sanctuary, Sunday
School rooms, recreation hall,
playground,’ picnic area, and
ample space for parking.
Construction of the Recreation
Hall and Sunday School rooms
will begin in the very near fu
ture. This structure will be per
manent and will be used as «
sanctuary for the present time
with a seating capacity for ap
proximately 250 people.
We are meeting, at the present
time, in the High School audi
torium on College Street. Rev.
Buford Dickinson, pastor, brings
.inspirational sermons each Sun
day.
A cordial welcome awaits each
and every one. Come and wor
