HEARS KIA WONG
The Woman s Society of Chris
tian Service of Jones Methodist
Church met at the church Aug.
Ist.
They were honored to have as
guest speaker. Kia Chiang Wong
of China, and now studying at
Emory University. Mr. Wong had
much to tell of his home land,
conditions there in the churches,
and of the work done for his
people by the churches here, in
America. He told 6f the work of
Missionaries in China, of the dif
ficulties of the language, of the
difference in climate, and con
ditions.
Listening to him gave a feeling
of pride that so much is being
done by the church, a feeling of
humbleness at having a part in
that work, and a feeling of de
termination to work with an ever
increasing effort that the Word
of Christianity shall continue to
be told to the Nations.

GLEANERS CLASS
OF FIRST BAPTIST
ENJOYS A SOCIAL
The Gleaners Class of the First
Baptist Church held a Social
Evening last Monday evening
(July 30th> when they met at
the City Park.
The party, with class members
and their families were about 45
strong for this ice cream night,
so you don't need to be told what
they did. But actually there was
a lot more to it than the ice
cream they ate. It was the spirit
of good companionship, of
friendship, an extra cord in the
binding together of this class. A
bridge between Sundsy.

Mr. R. J. Richardson taught
