NOT IN STYLE
Mrs. Smith took a great inter
est in the doings of her neigh
bors. It was a great day for her
when a new arrival came to the
house next door, and she
watched with interest as furni
ture was carried into the house.
"What did you find out about
the social standing of the folks
across the street?” her husband
asked her. ,
“They’re not much,” was the
reply. "They have no automobile
or radio or even a grand piano.
I can’t imagine what they have
got.”,
“Perhaps,” rejoined her hus
band, “they have a bank ac
count.”
