Sealed proposals from general con

County Board of Education, Mr. B.
Grady Granade, Chairman, at the office
of the Clayton County Board of Educa
tion, McDonough Street, Jonesboro,
Georgia, until 2:00 P.M. E.S.T., February
27. 1959. for the construction of Addi
tions to Fountain School, Hendrix Drive
School, Mountain View School, and
Riverdale School.
The Addition to Fountain School is a
two-wing addition and contains right (8)
class rooms, toilets, and a shop connected
to one wing by a covered passage.
The Addition to Hendrix Drive School
contains eight <8» class rooms, toilets,
necessary storage, etc.
The Addition to the Mountain View
School contains eight (8) class rooms,
toilets, two (2) studios, boiler room,
covered passage to existing building, nec

Bidding documents may be obtained at
the office of the Architect, Bothwell and
Nash, Architects, 206 Roswell Street,
Marietta, Georgia. Applications for docu
ments together with deposit of $50.00 per
set should be filed promptly with the
Architect. Bidding material will be for
warded, shipping charges collect, as soon
as possible. The full amount of deposit
lor one set will be refunded to each gen
eral contractor who submits a bona fide
bid upon return of such set in good con
dition within 30 days after date of open
ing of bids. All other deposits will be re
funded with deductions approximating
cost of reproduction of documents upon
return of same in good condition within
30 days after date of opening of bids.
Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump
sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for
a period of 35 days after date of open
ing. Bids must be accompanied by a bid
bond in an amount not less than 5%
of the base bid. Performance and Pay
ment Bond will be required in an
amount equal to 100% of the contract
price.
The Owner reserves the right to re
ject any or all bids and to waive tech
nicalities and informalities.

member, Mrs. Steele, and the
best flower arrangement prize
went to Mrs. Volley Burks. Both
prizes were given by Mrs. Leiupo,
who was co-hostesses for the
meeting with Mrs. McKneeley.

16, at Jones Memorial First
Methodist Church Friendship
Hall. There were ten regular
members, and two new members,
Mrs. Margie Lucas and Mrs.
Betty Newsome, were welcomed
into the club.
Mrs. H. D. Cochran gave an
inspiring devotional on prayer.

cluded a dress review at River
dale on March 20 and a flower
show April 28. The Forest Park
Club will participate in the
WGST Community Club award
this year.

Swain was in charge. A fitting

The program was in the capable
hands of Mrs. Mary Ingram, and
j she was assisted by Mrs. Ann
Evans, Mrs. Genevive McGraw,
and Mrs. Tommie Rayborn. At
the business session, emphasis
was given to the Study Course on
the Middle East which will be
(held at the church, January 28
and 30 and February 4, from 10-
12 noon each day. These three
days are of much importance
and a good attendance is desired

11:30 a.m. The World Day of
Prayer will be observed at the
Presbyterian Church at Jones
boro. Hostesses for the present
