The very young lady who is
keeping two sets of grandpar
ents busy, is 2-year-old Cindy
Smith from Macon. Ga. The
Rayford Smiths and the J. M.
Nunns are entertaining their lit
tle granddaughter while Mother
recovers from a bout of flu.
Did you hear about that 10
lb. bass that Buddy Burks caught
while on a Florida fishing trip
with parents the Vollie Burks?
Twelve-year-old Buddy really
showed ’em how. And that’s one
fish that will not get eaten—it
will be mounted instead.
Brother and sister teams mod
eling at Rich's Spring show this
week are the Bill Smith children,
Cheryl and Michael, and the
Harold Starr’s Sylvia and Doug
las. If you missed the evening
show on Monday, they will be at
Lenox Square Saturday 19. at
the Luncheon show.
Mrs. Roland Perdue of Meadow
Drive and the young son of the
house. Roland TV, are home from
a trip to grandparents, the P.
C. Cockes, Ashville, N C. A
planned two-day visit to show
off baby, after his christening,
evidently didn’t suit Mother Na
ture. who promptly saw to it
that roads in and out of Ashville
were blocked, keeping the vis
itors there for more than a
week.
J. B. Smith of Cypress Drive
is in Georgia Baptist Hospital for
an appendectomy. His many
friends will be glad to hear of
his complete recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Patterson
and Marcia spent the few days
of the recent “ice-age” in Sara
sota, Fla., visiting their old
friends, the Jeffreys. And found
the weather lust grand.
And have you noticed how any
unusual circumstance like the
failure of power, etc. -shows
how full file world is of good
people? Like the man who went
home to fetch a portable heater
for this office when the gas went
out on us. even when ills own
place of business was warm and
comfortable? Thanks a million,
J. W. Smith. (Smith’s Hard
ware).
Mrs. Elliott, mother of T J.
Elliott. Citv Clerk, is at Georgia
Baptist Hospital for surgery.
