J. W. Watterson
Easter Seals Drive
Easter Seal leader for the 1961
Easter Seal Campaign has been
announced by State Campaign
Chairman, C. M. Wallace, Jr.
Heading Clayton County in a
double-duty role, Jonesboro’s
banker, James W. Watterson will
serve both as county chairman
and treasurer. |
On acceptance of his dual re-‘
sponsibility for the annual
Easter Seal appeal, Watterson‘
stated: “Ninety per cent of all
money contributed to Easter
Seals remains in the state and
last year, twenty-five hundred
and fifty-two crippled children
and adults received care and
treatment through Easter Seals.”
The Georgia Society for Crip
pled Children and Adults, the
Easter Seal Society, offers care
and treatment for all types of
crippling disabilities, regardless
of age, race and creed,
No crippled child or adult in
Georgia need go without care
and treatment because of inabil
ity to pay for service.
The 1961 Easter Seal Campaign
nationwide marks 40 years of
dedication to the crippled. The
campaign begins March 2 and
ends Easter Sunday, April 2.
.Giving to Easter Seals is a
sound investment in the futures
of our physically handicapped
children and adults — it builds
a better community.
