This is notice that there will be sold,
at public sale, at the Office of the Com
missioners of Roads A Revenue of Clay
ton County. Georgia, to the successful,
sealed bidder, ail of that personalty in
cluding the building, brick, steel and
other portions of tne Clayton County
Jail known as the OLD CLAYTON
COUNTY JAIL located on the North side
of the Clayton County Courthouse, Clay
ton County. Georgia tn the highest bidder
for cash on the 16th day of March, 1961
at 2:00 o'clock P.M.
The conditions of this sale are such
that all bids must be in writing and
sealed. The Commissioners of Ronds A
Revenue of Clayton County. Georgia
shall enter into a contract with the
successful. sealed bidder for the razing
of said building, the bidders shall be
required within sixty <6Ol days from
the time of acceptance of said bid to
tear the building down to the bare
ground and will be required to remove
any and all debris as a result of said
razing from the premises within the
sixty <6Ol day period
In addition, the successful, sealed
bidder will be required io post a One

bond. and. further to furnish the Com

The application of BANK OF FOREST
PARK, a banking corporation, incorpo
rated under the laws of Georgia, on the
9th day of May, 1956, respectfully shows
the following facts and petitions the
Secretary of Stale to have its Charter
amended as hereinafter set out.
1.
Applicant shows that an amendment
of Its Charter was granted by the Sec
retary of State on November 25, 1958,
reducing the par value of the shares of
stock in said corporation from One Hun
died Dollars <sloo,ool per share to Ten
Dollars ।slo.ool per share and increasing
the capital stock of said corporation from
Ten Thousand <10,000.001 shares to
Thirteen Thousand. One Hundred and
Twentv Five (13,1251 shares.

Applicant respectfully shows that a
meeting of the stockholders of said cor
poration was duly and properly called
by the Board of Directors, notice of said
meeting having been mailed to each
stockholder, addressed to his last known
residence, more than ten days previous
to the date of said meeting, said notice
stating the time, purpose and place of
said meeting.

meeting was duly held pursuant to said
notice, at the office of said Bank on
January 10, 1961, at 7:00 o'clock PM.,

Applications are now being
taken for 4-H Club members to
attend the annual 4-H Club
camp to be held at Rock Eagle
4-H Club Center , July 17-21,
1961. For this camp Clayton
County 4-H members will join
more than 900 other 4-H mem
bers from Northwest Georgia
Counties for a week of fun, fel
lowship. recreation, education
and inspiration. The boys and
girls have the opportunity to
participate in all areas of the
camping program which is de
signed to encourage the physi
cal, mental, social and spiritual
growth of the club members.
Deadline is April 1.
The camp program is de
veloped around an Indian theme
—quite an appropriate one for
the camp with its prehistoric
rock Eagle mound built by early
Indian tribes. The camp is di
vided into three tribes — the
Muskogee, the Shawnee, and
the Cherokee. Participation in
classes and sports, the upkeep
i and cleaning of the grounds and
I cabins, and the general attitude
of the campers are all con
sidered in the friendly competi
tion for the awarding of the
“Shield of the Rock Nation” to
the outstanding tribe of the
week. The camp program is di
rected by State 4-H Club Leaders
Cecil Johnson, Frank Fitch, Etta
Marion Thompson and Rhonwyn
Lowry.
Club members wishing to
make application to attend the
1961 camp may submit applica
tion blanks along with the $3.50
deposit to the county agent’s
office by April 1. Applications
will be received and registered
as they come in until the county
quota of 80 campers is reached.

Plan Gold Bond
Group Project
It was announced at the Feb.
21 Lake City PTA meeting, that
the Lake City Parents Group
have a program devised, where
by certain necessary needs could
be filled through a point system.
The program is called the “Gold
Bond Group Project”.
The program will be operated
along these lines, whenever a
completely filled book is cashed,
at the mention of the group
project, the back cover will be
stamped and torn off. This cover
is to be given to the school, they
will realize 10 points for every
cover.
Should you have any stamps
and not need them, they can be
given to the school and would be
greatly appreciated. ,
It is a worthwhile project and
worthy of your remembering to
mention the group project on
your, next trip to the Redemp
tion Center.
