IN THE LIGHT of events
of the past year exposing
the rank hypocrisy of the mis

one wonders what must happen
before Uncle Sam awakens to
the fact that he is being taken
for a ride by these beggar na

I last Fall when

in granting

“we should give great attention
and consideration to those na
tions who have our views of the
world crisis.” That was shortly
after the ragtag group of self
> styled moralists who lead what
i they choose to call “non-aligned
nations” met at Belgrade, Yu
goslavia, and turned a deaf ear
; to Russian resumption of nu
, clear testing and a blind eye on
the Soviet wall around West
Berlin but dispatched emissaries
I to demand that the United
States cease preparing to de
fend itself lest it touch off a
war in which some of them
might get hurt.

WHAT HAPPENED since has
served to put every “have-not”
country in the world on notice
that the easiest way to pick up
some quick cash is to kick Uncle
Sam in the shins or embark on
an adventure of international
piracy.

The East Clayton PTA and East Clayton Lions are
getting prepared! What have you done to prepare yourself'
for an attack by the enemy? Do you know what you should !
do first or are you going to be one to wait for the day and!
and then hope you know what to do? It will be much better
to know and be prepared. The

East Clayton PTA and The East

Course (1), HOME PREPARED

Course (2), FIRST AID. will

These courses are open to the

tier, Nehru, who likes to be
called “the conscience of man
kind,” was assured that the
fact that he “liberated” the peo
ple of Goa from their higher
standard of living would not
jeopardize his continued pres
ence at the foreign aid trough.
Then to make sure that the
backward nations of Africa got
the message it was announced
that the United States would
finance the construction of the
economically-questionable Volta
River Dam for Ghana's Nkru
mah, the African Hitler who has
turned his -country into a police

THE RECORD IS clear that
these so-called “uncommitted”
countries who portray them
selves as the chief exponents
of all that is good and virtuous
line up with the Communist
bloc when the chips are down.
There has never been a time in
the history of the United Na
tions when they have acted to
challenge or voted to condemn
a policy of a Communist nation.
A recent editorial cartoon de
picted a cross-eyed figure repre
senting these nations teetering
on the edge of the “Soviet Sau
sage Machine” and waving a
sign reading, “Give Me Foreign
Aid Or I’ll Jump!” The caption
was, “Wonder What He’d Do If
We Said—‘Go Ahead’?” Unless
I have badly misjudged the
mood of the American people,
the overwhelming majority feel
that the Tito’s, Nehru’s and
Nkrumah’s of the world should
he given that choice and given
it now.

JEHOVAH'S
WITNESSES
ATTEND MEET
Jehovah’s Witnesses in Forest
Park and vicinity will attend a
three-day Circuit Assembly next
week-end in Decatur, Georgia.
The Christian meeting will be
on Friday, Saturday and Sun
day, February 9, 10 and 11, at
the Gordon High School Audi
torium, Tilson Road at Walling
ford Drive. The event is spon
sored by the Watch Tower Bible
and Tract Society, legal gov
erning agency for Jehovah’s
Witnesses world-wide.
Chief speakers on the pro
gram include R. G. Sakatos,
District Supervisor, and J. Gib
bard, Circuit Minister, both
from Brooklyn, New York. They
have been traveling representa
tives for the Watch Tower So
ciety for many years.
Referring to the convention
Mr. Coffey, local presiding min
ister for the Witnesses, said,
“The theme for the assembly
is, ‘Faithfully Increasing Our
Praise to Jehovah.’ This is most
appropriate for our ministry
training. We always want to
praise our God. Things we learn
at this assembly will prove to be
beneficial to us in giving greater
service and praise to God, and
hi helping our neighbors to do
likewise.”
An outstanding part of such
semi-annual meetings of Je
hovah’s Witnesses is a baptismal
service. This will be held on Sat
urday afternoon, at which time
many new ministers for the
group who have dedicated their
lives to serving God will be can
didates for water immersion.

The change of meeting date

At the business meeting the
