It Was A Hard Job
But Well Worth It
Fred Durden, contractor for
the new Dwarf House, makes no
bones about it.
“I found it easier to build
the great Eastern Jet Mainte
nance Base in Clayton County
than I did the complicated Dwarf
House,’’ Mr. Durden said this
week.
"The final result Is a thing
of beauty but, believe me,
everything had to mitered dif
ferently. Nothing was alike.
Everything had to be cut to
order, like a tailor made suit.
But it was worth the effort, as
you can now see”, Mr. Durden
added.
This famous contractor is not
working like he used to do in
building outstanding structures
all over the United States. He
is almost in semi-retirement.
But any job is a challenge to
Fred Durden, and he welcomed
the opportunity to pitch in on
the new conception in drive-in
restaurants that is the all-new
Dwarf House, with outside and
inside dining.

THE DWARF HOUSE NEWS
AN ALL ELECTRIC DEAL
Whitlock-Dobbs, Inc.
Food Service Suppliers
Jimmy Collins of Whitlock-
Dobbs Inc., food service equip
ment, explained this week the
intricate set up for semi-self
service in the Dwarf House.
Customers, he explained,
come up to the counter to place
order, and food is brought to
him; he can either carry it out
or he can sit down in the inside
or outside patio and eat.
The Dwarf House inside Is
2,500 square feet over all; there
is an equal amount of square
feet on the outside. The Dwarf
House will accomodate 52 in the
beautiful sky blue Inside patio
booths and 500 in the outside
sidewalk patio, circling the
building, including car service.
Mr. Collins explained that
food is kept hot by infra red
heat in the all-electric building.

And those of us in business in
Forest Park are proud of a new
development in the restaurant
business that is unlike anything
else in Greater Atlanta or, for
that matter, in the United Sta

by Owner Cathy. It is the only
sandwich of its kind, and should
win a national award.
The new Dwarf House is al
ready in a class by itself. Visit
often at Main Street and Hwy.
