Dear Mr. Troy:
May I be permitted to say a
few words to your readers on
behalf of our mutual friend,
Marvin Griffin, candidate for
Governor of Georgia. Marvin
deeply appreciates the feelings
of thousands of friends through
out the Great State of Georgia,
and is looking forward with a
great deal of pleasure of seeing
each of you just as soon as pos
sible.
If there ever was a time for
the people of Georgia to be wide
awake with their eyes open and
their minds alert, it is now. The
State of Georgia with its grow
ing pains needs a man with
Marvin’s experience for Gover
nor. Marvin is a proven leader
and is qualified to even a better
job than eebfore. He has been
around in every state in the
Union, and he knows how to get
things done.
Georgia cannot afford to have
a trainee for Governor. Marvin
is the only man in the race who
will grace the Governor’s office
moral and financial backing
that is necessary and will be
greatly appreciated, we are
going to win this election, on
September 12, 1962.
Best wishes to you and yours
and please tell our friend,
Wynne, that I enjoyed seeing
him at The Pickrick and am
thankful for everything he is
doing to help in the campaign.
Sincerely,
LESTER
