wood Drive are home after a
very pleasant vacation at Pan
ama City, Fla. They spent one
day deep sea fishing, catching
225 pounds in three hours.

Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Young
blood and Donna flew to Tampa,
Fla., last week-end iJune 15-18).
Since then they have enter
tained Mr. Youngblood's par
ents, who were here for a few
days from their home in Bir
mingham, Ala.
The D. E. Stull family took a
trip to Nashville for a few days’
visit to the John Burke fam
ily. They brought Bebbie and
Bobbye back with them to spend
the next two weeks visiting rela
tives here. Mrs, Stull and Mr.
Burke are brother and sister.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Smith and
the children. Rickie and Robin,
are home from a trip to La-
Grange. It was not entirely a
pleasure trip because Grandma
was in the hospital. But they

The J. A. Byington family of
Forest Avenue are at Jackson
Beach enjoying a week of fun
and sun. Not to mention swim
ming, boating, and having a
ball.
The visitors for the past few
days at the home of the Parker
Browns at Murray Lake, were
Mr. and Mrs. J. E Bankston and
their three children of Savan
nah, Ga.
Mrs. R. O. Barnette was happy
to entertain her daughter and
son-in-law, T/Sgt. H. L. Orr
and their family, from Dover,
Del., where the T/Sgt. is sta
tioned at the air base. They were
here for a week.
The death of his mother. Mrs.
11. A. Orr. last week, called back
home, Sgt. Orr, on special leave
from the Air Force. He returned
to his base last Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. William Haynie
and family and Mr. and Mrs.
Ted Durham and family spent
a happy week-end at Ida Cason
Callaway Gardens.

Miss Marian L. White, second
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J.
White of Davis Drive, has joined
the U.S.W.A.C. Marian graduated
from N. Clayton High this year,
and chose the Womens Army
Corp, knowing that during her
three years training, she will
meet, young women from all over
the States, and have opportunity
to choose a career for herself.
Her friends are proud of Marian’s
move toward a better future, and
know she will make excellent
progres.
Mr. and Mrs. S. K. Acree have
been busy entertaining of late.
Among the visitors were Mrs.
T. J. Kelly, and her daughter,
Mrs. Hazell Wills and two chil
dren all of Covington. Then from
Kirkwood, Ga. came Mr. and
Mrs. Hill Acree; Hill and S. K.
are brothers.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Brown of
Alexander Street have moved
out to East Point. Their neigh
bors miss them, and hope they
will be very happy in their new
home.
The Roy Hancock family and
Carol’s friend Frances Meeham
had a wonderful time in Spring
City. Tennessee recently. The
fish were biting real well and
they caught quite a haul.
Mrs. Deloris Corley and her
little girl are spending a month
with her family in lowa.

doctor in Riverdale, Dr. A. H.
Germain, of Atlanta, who has
now opened his office on High
way 85, and will be there to serve
the public on Wednesday, Satur
day, and possibly Monday after
noons and evenings.
Dr. Germain has been In prac
tice for twenty-two years, and
also has an office in the Candler
Building in Atlanta. His secre
tary’s name here in Riverdale is
Miss Jane Hardners of East
Point.
Dr. and Mrs. Germain have
one son, Bernard, who will enter
the Medical College of Georgia
in the fall, where he will also
study medicine.
We wish to extend a cordial
greeting to Dr. Germain and
wish him much success.

are attending the University of
Florida. Miss Unick, a graduate
of Southwest High School, is
completing her first year’s study,
majoring in occupational ther
apy. Mr. Currie graduated from
Forest Park High, to go on to the
University of Florida, where he
got his Bachelor’s Degree. He was
President of the University
Chapter Psi Chi, National Hon
orary Society in Phychology. He
is working for his M.A. Phd. in
clinical psychology. The mar
riage has been set for Sept. 2.
