Chiropractic j
By Dr. Henry L. Foley |
Chiropractic is a modern,
scientific method by which the
doctor locates and removes the
cause of disease. For every dis-
ease, ache, or
pain, there must
be a cause, and
as long as that
cause remains,
the disease and
pain will re
main too. Re
moval of the
cause naturally
aids in the re
moval of the
disease, al- DR. FOLEY
though some of its effects may
remain for some time because
of the damage already done to
the body or organ.
The principle of Chiropractic
can be easily demonstrated. For
example: Consider that you are
in your yard, watering your
flowers, and your little boy
playfully picks up the garden
hose and kinks it, making the
water stop flowing. Now, in
order to restore the water flow,
you must remove the cause of
its stopping. You can’t do it by
any other way than removing
the kink from the hose. No
amount of work on the nozzle
would help because it was the
interference caused by the kink
that stopped the water, not
something wrong with the
nozzle. It’s the same with your
body.
Nerves that bring energy to
the body’s organs from the
brain must operate at top ef
ficiency in order to maintain a
healthy condition. Any “kinks”
in these nerves only tend to
slow, or stop, the flow of essen
tial nervous energy producing
the malfunction or disorder
within the organ affected.

’ Fire Inspector
Brings Message
1 To N Jonesboro PTA
M. A. Parse, Fire Inspector
i assigned to Fire Safety Educa
; tion, spoke to the North Jones
i boro Elementary PTA Tuesday,
’ November 13.
Due to uncontrollable cir
, cumstances -lie was unable to
3 bring us the scheduled program
‘ipperation- Stopfire”, but he
; <Tid enlighten us on many un
; suspecting fire 'hazards that
each of us have in our homes.
He began his talk by ex
plaining the fire triangle; air,
heat and fuel. He elaborated on
this with examples.
Mr. Parse explained to us that
any material will burn under
the right circumstances—steel
and concrete as well as paper.
He proved this point by sim
ply touching a piece of steel
wool to a candle.
Mr. Parse pointed out to us
that batteries of any size are
dangerous because they do con
duct heat. He urged all parents
' to keep battery toys out of toy
’ boxes. He also stressed the fact
1 that weak or burned out bat
teries should not be laid aside
■ but destroyed.
He also brought out the fact
• that aerosol bomb cans which
we all use so much today are
dangerous and very explosive.
' Mr. Parse says these cans should
not be thrown in garbage cans
but should be burned.
: His last statement was that
the biggest cause of fires today
is cigarettes!
