Notes on
Chiropractic J
By Dr. Henry L. Foley | ■
One of our most deeply routed
instincts is our love of children.
We make all kinds of sacrifices
for them without feeling that
we are doing so.
Our reward is
joy in seeing
their develop
ment and hear
ing their happy
laughter.
Some children
are less alert
than others.
Why? They all
start life with,
the same in- I
experience and therefore, all ’
have to make discoveries abouti
the things they find around i
them. Yet we find some who do ■
not appear to take so much in
terest in things as others do;
things like new toys, watches,
etc. Look carefully at those
children and see if they are
quite healthy. Life is expressed
during the early days by all
kinds of characteristics, childish
activities; and there must be
something wrong when a child
sits quietly for long.
The child’s health is good as!
long as all parts of the body*
receive vital force through the ।
nervous system, and it begins to
go wrong as soon as any inter
ruption of that force takes
place. There lies the open secret
of the healthy child. One of the
bony segments in the child’s
little spine is displaced by a
strain or fall and pressure is put
upon one of the nerves passing
from the spinal cord to some
part of the body, and the health
suffers. It is so easy to adjust
children’s spines. The tissues I
are pliable, and the results of :
Chiropractic adjustments are :
nowhere more remarkable than :
in children.
