EAST CLAYTON
SIXTH GRADE
The East, Clayton 6th Gracie |
4-3 Club meeting was called to I
o Jer by Mr. Parker on Novem- |
ter 1. i 962. We elected officers •
f r the year 1962-63 They are:
President, Betty Pattillo: girls
vice president, Betty Moore; ;
boys’ vice president, Billy Turn- !
er; secretary. Sue Sears, re-'
porter, Alice Heflin.
Following the election, Mr.
Parker gave an interesting dem
onstration about the fire ant. [
One of the most important
questions he asked was, “What |
can we do about these fire;
ants?” He answered by saying,
the county agent has been doing j
all he can, but that isn’t enough, j
He also said we had to do our ,
share, too. There are three ways'
to kill these ants, by using
mirex, chlordane, or dieldrin.
The meeting was adjourned at j
2 o'clock.

During the recent campaign it was said that I voted to close Riverdale Rd.
Let me assure you that nothing could be farther from the truth.
In early 1963 a bridge will be built on Riverdale Road by Fulton County
which will allow residents of both the Third and Sixth Wards access to
College Park without a detour.
