a regular meeting Thursday, December
4,1962 at 10:00 a.m. The following mem
. bers were present: Mr. P. K. Dixon, Mr.

I Mr. Kay from Burrough Corporation
met with the Commissioners regarding
purchasing of an accounting machine
for the Clayton County Commissioners
Office.
Mr. Starr mace a motion that Mr.
Harvey Hooks be appointed Tax As-
I sessor for a six year term, effective Jan
i uary 1, 1963, to exceed Mr. F. A. Black >
whose term expires December 31. 1962 i
< and desires not to be reappointed. Mr. j
, Duncan seconded, vote unanimous.

1 ney be authorized to settle the claim
against Mr. James M. Patterson and his ,
Insurance Company, State Farm Mutual, ।
for the sum of one thousand five hun- |

settlement of damages to a G.M.C. truck, [
and is further authorized to execute
necessary papers in carrying out this

Courthouse Receptionist Area, Switch- i
board Panel and Valet racks, and vari
ous other items as listed as per attached
sheet for equipping New Courthouse.

Mr. Albert Wallace met witn the
Commissioners representing the petition
of the City of Atlanta to rezone prop
erty from A-Agricultural to M-3 Gen
eral Industrial District, and if rezoned,
jto issue a Conditional Use permit for
the purpose of a Commercial Asphalt
j Plant. This property is located at the

amount of $6,881.60. Mr. Starr made a
motion to defer action on the machines

demonstrated and to find which would
