. GEORGIA HERITAGE—A few miles off v. S. Highway 27
just north of Blakely, Georgia, is the site of some of the most
interesting Indian Mounds in the Southeast. Kolomoki Indian
Mounds State Park contains several large mounds and num
erous smaller ones. The earliest Indian settlements here were
made sometime between 800 and 1200 A. D. by a tribe who
migrated from the south, known to archeologists as the Weeden
Island people. Somewhat related to the Weeden Island group
was the second tribe to occupy the mound area, the Kolomokis,
who remained probably through the 13th century. The Kolomoki
village at the mound site was larger than that of the Weeden
Island group, and archeologists have been able to establish
a great ileal of knowledge about the life and times of these
early Georgians. Exhibits in the Kolomoki Museum reflect
these discoveries. The Kolomoki Indian Mounds are maintained
today by the Georgia Department of State Parks, who opened
a new Indian -Museum at the site in 1960.

_ _ _ '64 Chevy H Nova Station Wagon
CHEVY n by Chevrolet
You don’t need a big car to get big performance. Not any
more. You’ll quickly see why when you check the ’64 Chevy H.
There are two new higher performance optional-at-extra
cost engines for you to pick from. One is Chevrolet’s strapping
195-hp Turbo-Fire VB. The other is a new chrome-trimmed
155-hp Turbo-Thrift Six.
If you’ve got a mountain to climb or a truck to
pass, these are the engines that can leave either
one safely behind you. In fact, this new Chevy H
packs a wallop everywhere but in your wallet.

New brakes match this power, too. Bigger, to dissipate
heat faster. Self-adjusting, to save you money. Other easy
care features include Delcotron generator and a fully alumi

Chevy H is smartly styled outside, comfortable inside.
There are a lot of models to choose from. A lot of extra-cost
accessories to customize it just about any way
you’d like. And a whole lot of fun to look forward
to. At a very low cost. Test drive Chevy H at
your Chevrolet dealer’s soon. You’ll like it!
