out by visiting various agencies
in the next few weeks. They will
screen agency services and re
view operating costs to deter
mine how much money the pub
lic will be asked to give next fall.
. 206 civic-minded volunteers
are members of the budget com
mittee, the largest in history.
They will give well over 300 eight
hour working days to make sure
funds are needed and spent
wisely for services to the people.

Blood Mobile to Visit
Jonesboro May sth
On the sth of May, 1964, the
American Red Cross Blood Mo
bile will visit the Clayton County
Health Center during the hours
of 2 to 7 p.m. The success of this
program depends upon you, and
human life depends upon blood,
it’s a priceless commodity - that
fluid that circulates through the
heart, arteries, capillaries, and
veins, carrying nutriment and
oxygen to the body tissues. When
whole blood is required there is
no substitute, therefore it is es
sential that at least one adult in
each household assures that
each member is covered under
the blood program.

Forest Park Ladies’
To Be ‘Capped’
South Fulton Hospital in East
Point will honor 46 Gray Ladies
and 2 Gray Men on Sunday, May
3, 1964, at 2:00 p.m. in the hos
pital cafeteria. The Gray Ladies
will be capped and the Gray Men
will receive certificates. Due to
lack of space, only the immedi
ate family of those being capped
can be invited.
Those being capped on this oc
casion took the basic Red Cross
training, Gray Lady and Hos
pital Orientation and have a
■ minimum of 20 hours of duty
time at the hospital. All are vol
unteers for the American Red
Cross. Mr. Arthur E. Allison, first
“Gray Man” with the South Ful
’ ton group has worked as a vol
' unteer for seven months with
almost 400 hours of duty time in.
Mr. Wilbur R. Peace, of Wanda
Circle, S.W., Atlanta, is serving
as Gray Man in the Emergency
Room.

Church at Wallace, N.C.
