ATLANTA ARMY DEPOT—Chief Warrant Officer Clarence L.
Cummings, 408 Ponderosa Park Drive, Forest Park, receives the
Army Commendation Medal from Col. J. P. Alexander, Jr., Depot
Commander. Looking on is Lt. Col. Eiswick Newport, Command
ing Officer, 14th Aircraft Depot Battalion. Warrant Officer Cum
mings was cited for meritorious service while serving as Assist
ant Maintenance Officer, U.S. Army Section Flight Detachment
in Vietnam. He entered active Army duty in August 1950 at New
port News, Va. and has served in Germany, Korea, Japan, and
Vietnam. Among his awards and decorations are the Korean
Service Medal, the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation
and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal-Vetnam. He is pres
ently assigned as Component Repair Officer, 14th Battalion. His
wife is the former Miss Bertha E. Hinnant, Ft. Jackson, S.C., and

Morrow Guild Holds Tenth
Annual Banquet on May 12
The Wesleyan Service Guild of
the Morrow Methodist Church
held its Tenth Annual Banquet
on May 12 at the Barbecue
Kitchen in Forest Park. There
were 14 members and 3 guests
present.
A cake and the tables were
decorated in keeping with the
25th Anniversary of the W.S.C.S.
and the W.S.G. which is being
observed this year.
Mrs. Sam Mozley from Jones
boro, who has recently been
elected Treasurer of the North
Georgia W.S.C.S. gave an in
spiring message and installed
the officers for the coming year.
She used an installation Service
