NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID
Sealed proposals from General Con
tractors will be received by Clayton
coung Commissioners of Roads & Reve
nue, r, at the office of P. K. Dixon,
Chairman, located in the Clayton County
Court House, Jonesboro, Georgia, until
2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time on the
28th day of May, 1964, for the construc
tion of Clayton County Juvenile Court
House, to be located on McDonough
Street, Jonesboro, Clayton County, Geor
gia, ‘at the time and place noted above,
the proposals for the project will be
publicly opened and read.
Bidding documents may be obtained
at’' the office of the Architect, William
R. Tapp, Jr., Architect, A.LLA., and Asso
ciates, 110 Austin Avenue, Marietta,
Georgia. Applications " for documents to
gether with deposit of $35.00 per set of
plans and specifications should be filed
promptly with the Architect. Bidding
material will be forwarded, /shipping
charges. collect, as soon as possible. The
full amount of deposit for one set will
be refunded to each General Contractor
who submits a bona fide bid upon re
turn of such set in good condition with
in 30 days after date of opening of bids.
All other deposits will be refunded with
deductions approximating cost of repro
duction of documents upon return of
same in good condition within 30 days
after date of opening of bids.
Contract, if awarded, will be on a
lump sum basis. No bid may be with
drawn for a period of 35 days after time
has been called on the date of opening.
Bids must be accompanied by a bid
bond in an amount not less than 5% of
the Base Bid. Both a Performance and
a Payment Bond will be requirea in an
amount equal "to 100% of the Contract
Price. ;
The Owner reserves the right to re
jeet any or all bids and to waive tech
nicalities and informalities.

The general nature of the business to
be transacted by the corporation is that
of buying and selling, both wholesale and
retail, carpet, rugs, household appliances,
and household furnishings and acces
sories of all kinds. .
The capital stock of said corporation
shall be one hundred shares of common
voting steck of the par value of one
hundred ($100.00) dollars per share. Such
shares of stock shall be issued for such

The undersigned, whose names, signed

hereof, file this, their application to
form a corporation for the purpose of
carrying on the business of banking,
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter
13-9 of the Code of Georgia, as amended,

foregoing, said bank shall have the right

stocks or bonds or other securities; to
buy or sell foreign or domestic exchange
or other negotiable paper; to lend money
upon personal security, or upon pledges
of bonds, stocks or negotiable securities;
to take and receive security by mort
gage or otherwise on property, real or
personal; and generally to do and per
form all such other matters and things
not hereinbefore enumerated as or or
may be incident to the business of bank
ing, conducted under the laws of the
State of Georgia, as the same may from
time to time be argended.
The number of directors of said bank
shall be from 3 to 725. (C.N.N.)
This application is filed in triplicate,
and, upon the filing of this application,
there is herewith paid a fee of Fifty
Dollars ($50.00).
WHEREFORE, applicants pray that
this application be filed as provided by
law, that a certified copy of same be
delivered to applicants in order that the
same may be published as provided in
Section 13-902 of the Code of Georgia,
that a copy of said application ke trans
mitted to the Superintendent of Banks

the list of qualified Contractors prior to
the date of award. No proposal will be
issued to any bidder later than 9 A.M.
Eastern Standard Time of the date of
opening bids.
All bids must show totals for each
item and total amount of bid. Right is
reserved in the undersigned to delay the
award of the contract for a period not
‘ to exceed thirty (301 days from the date
' of opening bids, during which period
‘bids shall remain open and not subject
‘to withdrawal. Right is also reserved in
the undersigned to reject any and all
' bids and to waive all formalities.
