Dear Students:
On behalf of the staff, I trust the school year 1963-64 at Forest
Park Senior High has been an enjoyable, profitable and challeng
ing series of experiences for each student.
I sincerely hope that you have grown mentally, physically, so
cially, emotionally, morally and spiritually. My desire is that
school life never become so rigid in form and so restrictive that
we can not enjoy working together toward attainment of our edu
cational goals.
To the departing seniors I wish to express my appreciation for
the many contributions that you have made toward making Forest
Park Senior High a better school. I wish you much success and
happiness in your future endeavors.
I urge all undergraduates to think seriously during the summer
months concerning your plans for the future. I am looking forward
to seeing you return in September refreshed in spirit and eager
to achieve.
Sincerely,
M. E. KIRKLAND

World's Tag Team
Slated for Forest Park
The Athletic Association is
bringing professional wrestling
back to Forest Park Friday
night. May 29, with 5 big
matches featuring 12 wrestlers.
The matches are so big that the
promoters felt that the Atlanta
Municipal Auditorium would not
accommodate the thousands of
people who wanted to see the big
matches, so we brought the card
to Forest Park.
The main event will feature
the world’s tag teams, Kurt and
Karl Von Brauner, who are put
ting their title on the line
against Joe Scarpa and the
flashy Lester Welch. The Von
Brauners’ manager, Saul Wien
groff, will be handcuffed to the
600 plus Mighty Jumbo to keep
him from interfering in this
match. This within itself is
| enough to attract many fans,
I but we will also have the start
of the big Cadillac elimination
i bouts. We will have the brand
| new 1964 Cadillac on display
which the wrestlers will be
fighting to win. To start the
elimination, we will have three
of the bouts here this week
featuring six of the competitors.
First we have Sputnik Monroe
vs. Buddy Fuller. In the second
match we will have Greg Peter
| son against the hated Red
Steiner. The third match will pit
the 610 pound Mighty Jumbo
against Brawling Joe McCarthy.
When we had finished these
matches we found that we didn’t
have the feminine lure for the
fans who enjoy the girl wres
tlers, so we were lucky enough
to sign the nationally popular
! Gloria Swanson against beauti
; ful Ann Casey.
The matches will get under
: way at 8:30 p.m. Friday night
. and the price of tickets will be
; the usual low Forest Park price,
$2.00 ringside, $1.25 general ad
mission, and 75c for children
' under 12 years old. So come
‘ early and enjoy an evening of
j good entertainment and help
1 finance the giant youth program
run by the Forest Park Athletic
! Association.
