BY SHARON ABERCROMBIE
A fellow was asked, "How is the world treating
you??” He replied, "The world treats me fine; the peo
ple in it don’t.”
There are those who say the world is worse th?m
ever. Actually, what is meant is SOME of the people
treat other people worse than ever. However, if we will
only look around us, we will see vast goodness also. We
hear more of the bad things than of the good, Scream
ing headlines of crime, disaster, destruction and trag
edy steal the front pages. Kind deeds and friendly
thoughts receive less publicity because they lack the
punch of emotional impact.
From time to time, we will point to the goodness
we see from day to day—and it is abundant. These
deeds on the local, national and international scene
are bright rays of decency and goodness. These rays
pierce the publicized dark clouds of people’s neglect,
oppression and disrespect for the dignity of man. It
will be a pleasure to spotlight the goodness and de
cency of mankind as we see it.

Notes On
Chiropractic
By DR. HENRY L. FOLEY
HEADACHE . . . Sometimes
it is amazing to the chiro
practor to find people ac
cepting headaches as dis-
co ms o r t to
be expected
and endured
to some ex
tent. They go
to the chiro
practic office
for low back
strain, neuri
tis, a stom
ach disorder
or some oth
er phy s i c a 1
disturbance. In the course
of his examination to find
a possible spinal cause for
the complaint, the chiro
practor finds a spinal dis
placement which suggests
the possibility of repeated
headaches.
The chiropractor will ask,
“do you sometimes get head
aches?” The answer often is
“Yes, doctor, I’ve been get
ting headaches for the past
two or three years. I take a
sedative each time and they
seem to disappear.” Even
though the patient did not
complain about headaches,
the chiropractor found a
spinal condition which
might cause headaches.
Therefore, one would expect
the headaches to recover
under chiropractic care. And
they do—quite frequently
before the chronic condition
which brought the patient
to the chiropractor.
There are headaches, too,
which people cannot accept
so casually. They are the
headaches which are too
frequent and too severe to
endure. People so afflicted
often come to the chiroprac
tor’s office saying “I’ve tried
everything else”.
The causes of headaches
are varied and numerous.
Headaches may come from
circ u1 a to r y disturbances,
kidney disorders, digestive
upsets, etc. There are “sinus
headaches,” headaches from
nervous disorders, the mi
graine headaches and many
others.
What chiropractic can do
for any particular headache
depends to a large extent
upon the disease in which it
is found, its severity and du
ration. If you are bothered
with headaches, see your
chiropractor for help.
