Nancy Rogers began her
art career as a cartographer
and artist for the Dept. of
State in Washington, D. C,,
receiving her formal educa
tion In art at the Washing
ton University Fine Art
School, St. Louis, Mo. She
has participated in the art
activities of the areas of
Europe and the Far East in
which she resided or tray
eled. She has instructed
classes in painting and
drawing. juried art shows.
and while In Korea., in
structed Korean paraplegic
war veterans in filne arts
and handcraft.
During the 1964 Olympics
in Japan. Nancy Rogers was
invited to exhibit four ink
and wash paintings in a
show sponsored by the In
ternational Suiboku Painting
Assoclation In Tokyo. She

Her paintings are done in
several media-oil. acrylic,
water color, ink, tempera.
casein, pastel and encaustic
and range from realism to
abstract. Twelve paintings
with religious theme have
been acquireq by the St.
Mary’s Hospital of the Mayo
Clinic. Many other paintings
are in private collections in
the United States and
abroad.
Mrs. Rogers now lives in
Decatur, Georgia where she
is catively pursuing her pro
fession.
