The fencing arourtd the Cemetery
seems to have been very much neglect¬
ed; so much so that everything inside is
exposed to the ravages of stock that is
permitted to run at large. It is proper
and right that a substantial fence should
be kept around a grave yard. Perhaps
some one will look after tfeisr matter.
EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN.
It is very important that Clarksville
should have a good school during the
entire scholastic year, and .to do this
we must .have a comfortable building
to teach in. The old Academy building,
with a little repairing will answer tbe
present emergency There are an
abundance of-ieacbers wanting employ¬
ment, and among so many a good one
, could certainly be obtained; and we
hope opr citizens will take a proper in
terestrin the education of their children.
As dim:, educated, intelligent and useful
men and women pass away their places
must he filled; and let us not degenerate;
but push forward iu every good work.
The wheels of time are rapidly moving,
and waits for no one. Then in every
good cause let us keep pace.
