Our Correspondent Finds that the Rail
road Men Mean Business.
Clinton, August 1.—On a recent trip
to Atlanta I called in at the office of J.
A. Ansley, Esq., and in a conversation
with him and Colonel Frobel I was
strongly and favorably impressed with
the prospects of a railroad through our
town and connty in the near future.
The Covington and Macon railroad to
run from Gainesville to Macon via Cov
ington, Monticello and Clinton and to
finally connect the Florida coaat ia not
altogether talk. Thesegent!emen,with
Colonel Livingston and others of
known energy and business tact are at
work, and they mean business in this
enterprise which for railroad purposes
opens up a section oi country almost
unsurpassed for travel and local busi
