happy, that we almost felt like quiting
town, geting us a wife, going to the
country and digging w ealth and happi¬
ness out of the ground.
We ware now seven or eight miles
from town, and laithful Charlie seem¬
ing anxious to get back to his stall, we
turn his head homew ard, and in a short
while we were in sight of Blaekshear
once more. We drove iu town about
six o’clock, and after driving ’round
as far as Uap’u Fuller’s residence and !
meeting st veral of the belles of Blaek

the business part of town, on Railroad
street* just iu time to join them around
