The (Isutata-SuitA Olaus. The canta ta last Friday night- by the pupils of Hou ston Female College, was one of the most delightful entertain ments we ever saw:- It was well sung and acted, and we must especially com mend the training of the little children by Mrs. Johnson, who had only about two weeks for preparation. Every one sustained her part well, and the dar lings were just as sweet as could be, es pecially the five to ten year olds, and if we were not a married man, we would include the “swpet 16’s.” Every oce of the large audience was more . than pleased with the entertainment. Burglary in Ferry Last Saturday night the store of A. B. Schilling & Co., was entered by bur glars and about three hundred dollars worth of clothing stolen. An entrance was effected by prizing the frout win dow shutters apart, breaking a glass and pulling ont the pin that fastened the bar. Among the articles stoien, was a fine wedding suit just made for Willie Hcaser. The burglary was a'skillful and daring one, and reminds our people of the necessity of better securing their houses, and being more watchful. The loss is a heavy one on Messrs Schilling & Brunson, and we hope they mav get a clue that w : l\ lead to the detection and punishment of the thieves, and the ie- covery of the goods. *» — §5,00 Reward.—A new dark blue double brenrted overcoat lost last Sat urday, body lined with striped wool and skirt with black.
