State. They would not try to ’ faca-
Feltou, Stephens and Speer. Their
gratitude to them for past services, in
trying to destroy the Democratic party
and its organization, would prevent the
Radicals from running in opposition to
them; for the Radicals well kuow that
all the standing they now have they are
indebted to these men for. as well as
their hopes in the future. It will be re
membered that in the last election for
members to Congress,-Gen. Gordon was
invited to - go into Felton and Lester’s
district to make some speeches in the
contest there, and in doing so he most
properly exhorted and urged the Demo
cratic party there to nnity of action,
and for the good of the Country fo sus
tain the Democratic organization and

the estate of J, W. Harris, late of Hous
ton Conner, deceased, are hereby noti

On Sunday morning last, at Blue
Spring Church, a few miles below HsWk r

accident. Mr. J. O. Baskins, and his
wife and two small children were on
their way to ohnrch, when the mule at-
sttached became frightened at a cart in
the road. The mule made a sudden
dash, and Mr. Baskins and his wife
Were both throwa from the baggy, to
gether with their six months old babe
and little boy. The babe was killed by
She fall, and the father and mother
both severely injured; The babe was
taken into the residence of Hr. John
McKinney and lived abetft an hoar.

Wife were recovering from their .inju
