The floral re membrances, principally white roses, .were exceedingly beautiful. Mrs. Cater was born in Perry 46 years ago, and lived here about two- thirds of her 1 life. Bright’s disease, from which she suffered a year or more, caused her death. As child, maiden, matron, this writer knew .her well, and of her he knew ably good. She was most es timable' in' Christian character, a consistent .member of the Baptist ehhrch, a Christian, “ a truly good woman.: Her bereaved sons, mother, sisters and brother have the tenderest sym pathy of their many friends. A more extended notice of this most excellent woman will be pub lished later. ’ r day afternoon with his wife and two children. He attended Sabbath School Sun day morning, and although there was a heavy rain during the morn ing, a congregation of about forty heard his first sermon at the usual morning hour. ;:f ' The impression-he ufceatechis quite favorable, and there is good reason to believe bis service during the year will bring pastor and people close together in Christian fellow ship, and that the cause of religion will be materially advanced.
