On September 18th, 1899, God gave unto the home of Henry and Abbie Talton a dear litile boy, who for seventeen months, bright ened and blessed the lives of the house-hold with happiness and joy, such as only a baby with a disposition as bright as a stm- beamj can give. But God needed this little jew el to adorn his kingdom, and on the night of February 26th, 1901, the Death angle came and bore the sweet little spirit of little Henry Erwin to that Heavenly home where three little sisters awaited him. There are many things in the realms of God’s providences which we cannot understand, but we must know to trust. Dear children and grand-chil dren:— •‘Beresigned; bear up, bear on, the end will tell. And, whereas, as we regard the above pupils as kind friends, and loved pupils and schoolmates, we natu rally feel interested in their wel fare, therefore, be it Resolved, That we, teacher and pupils of Union; Academy, in a body, do hereby extend our united, sincere, and heart-felt sympathy to the family of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Talton in their sore bereavement, especially to the brothers and sis ters, whose hearts have been bro ken by the severing of a precious one from the family fireside; We know that little Erwin’s chair will ever be void, that his cooing and prattle will be missed, but remember Him who said¥ ‘ ‘ Suffer little children to cOineiinto i me.” May Gqd, who does all : . things wisely add justly, comfort and console you, and heal your afflic tions.
