On the evening just previous to
to the departure of Miss Eunice
Dukes for her home at Palmetto,
Ga,, a reception was given com
plimentary to that young lady at
the home of Mrs. T. H. Brown,
where she was a guest. Many
young friends were entertained
with an ice cream festival. Mrs.
Brown served ice cream and cake
in abundance, and all who enjoy
ed the pleasure of attending were
made to feel pleasant, cool and
refreshed.
Miss Dukes is a young lady
possessed of many charms and ac
complishments, which have en
deared her to a large number of
friends. At a late hour good byes
and good wishes were lavished up
on Miss Dukes and many thanks
to Mrs. Brown for the pleasures
of the evening, and the young
people reluctantly disperced for
their homes.
