LToltzolaw, Seo. and Treas. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Baird etir tertamed a number of young .peo ple at their home last Thursday night in honor of Mieses Maggie and Julia Reiitz, sisters of Mrs. Baird. The home was beautifully decorated with pretty flowers, and lovely illumination from chande liers. Music on piano, tete-tete, games, etc, etc, such as are cus tomary Tor young folks were in-1 dulged in, and all seemed to en-' joy themselves. At 10 o?clock refreshments were served in the dining room. The decoration of the dining room and table was elaborate. The.re freshments were fresh oysterg, sillabub, cakes, fruits, pickles and other eatables too tedious to name. At 12 o’clock sharp, the crowd dispersed and on departing expressed themselves as having enjoyed themselves to their ut most extent and the occasion would long be remembered. Monday morning, Dec. 28rd, at the home of W. T. Perry at Win chester, his daughter, Miss Cecil Perry, was united in marriage to Mr. Edge Andrews of Montezu ma. It was a quiet home affair, only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties being present. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr. Cutta of the Marshall- ville. Baptist church. Both the contracting parties are well-known in this section and their many friends will join the Record in wishing them a long, happy and prosperous life.^-Mon tezuma Record. NovemberG, 1901, Sister Blonnie Dennard passed peacefully away While we all knew Blonnie had been in feeble health, yet the Messenger for her sweet spirit came unexpectedly to us. All that a devoted husband, skillful physicians and kind friends could do to stay the hand of death was done. God knew best and took her to Himself. Our sister joined the Henderson Baptist, church whon a little girl, baptised by Dr .B. F. Tharp, afterwards joined the Elko Baptist church by letter and lived a devoted member until death, doing good as she had op portunity.
