But home folks had only to know whose hospitable home was their goal. Once within, the gloom without was lost sight of in the radiance which emanated from the love-light of the '‘house. As flying needles went in and out of dainty fabric, so many loving thoughts and fancies were caught and fastened in the loops, that a glance at the lovely work in the years to come will speak to each guest of one of the pleasant est afternoons ever spent. And perchance a knot where it should not be, mtiy tell of the tear whioh dimmed the eye at the thought of separation from the fair guest of honor, who soon is to go on a pleasant trip to Cali fornia.
