In a household not many miles from the Houston county court house there are two brothers, nei ther of these boys being yet" five years of age. Not many months these boys went to Macon with their parents, their first visit to the oity. The large buildings were to these boys a delightful revelation, and the smooth pavement of the sidewalks was a floor bayond their imagination. With wide ^eyed astonishment and pleasure the many new things of street and store were seen and talked about. At a clothihg store the boys lin gered about the front door while the parents made purchases with in. Missing the boys, the father went to the door just in time to prevent one of the little fellows from demolishing a wax boy fig ure. When asked what he was doing he Baid “I spoke to him six times, and he wouldnt speak, and I was going to hit him with a brick”. Later the boys saw a small dog that suited their fancy, in their effort to catch him, they chased the dog nearly around a block of buildings. After a ride on a street car they declared their intention of carrying the car home to play with, and a bribe of 10 cents each was neoessary to induce them to forego their purpose. The entire stay in the city was a picnic, with revelations at every turn, but that they could not bring home a lot of the ouriosities was to ,them a sore disappoint ment. L. M. Paul’s. it M.
