Your success and the amount of
work you will do in your commu
nity rests almost entirely with
you and the enthusiasm with
whioh you undertake your work.
You have noticed that the enthu
siastic teacher usually receives
the co-operation of his patrons.
I trust that you will spare no
pains in getting your pupils to at
tend school regularly, as we are
all 4 aware that regularity of at
tendance is half the battle.
Try in some way to cull the at
tention of your patrons to the
good results their visits have upon
the school. I hope to notice a
large increase in the number of
these visits.

first killing 107 hogs were slaugh-

pork, an average weighty of 200
pounds net, also yielding about
2,500 pounds of lard. The second
killing numbered 18, Weighing
8,911 pounds. He made made 4C5
gallons of syrup from acre of
sugarcane, and 165 bales of cotton
with 18 plows. Heaviest hog 475
pounds. How is,this for high?
Your correspondent killed twe
hogs, well-fed with corn, peas,,
garden truck and so on, weighing'
about 186 pounds each. Mrs. Joe
Badge says they ate $200 worth of
chickens, and her feelings being
intimidated and mortified, she
threatened to sue the judge of the
court for damages. So I turned
over the meat and stopped suit,
Mrs. Bedge agreeing to pay the
costs of court in eggs and kisses.
