The Bweet and effectionate lit
tle daughter of Cicero S. Arnold
and Willie Arnold, Willie Belle
Arnold, tell . asleep in the
arms of Jesus July 26th, 1908,
aged 11 months. She was taken
sick on April 29th with pneumo
nia, bronchitis, fever and other
diseases and during the three
months following, none but God
can ever kcoto what that precious
little body suffered. All that
medical skill, loving hands
and kind friends could possibly
c.o was done; yet it availed noth
ing. Oh, the bitter tears of sor
row we shed with our feeble efforts
to keep back the grim monster.
But alas, our poor feeble arms
were too short, for He, whose
mighty word the wind and waves
obey, had issued the divine com
mand for little Whlie to come up
jr, and we could but bdw our
leads in humble submission to
his righteous will.
She was ah unusually bright
child for one of her age, one that
no one could know and not love.
On I how sad to know the sweet
entiling face is now hidden from
our view, yet what a consolation
to know that while we are left
here to be tossed to and fro on
the rongh waves of life’s stormy
ocean, that little body is sweetly
sleeping in its narrow bed of clay,
while her piire spirit has return
ed to .the God who gave it, forev
er through* the endless ages of
eternity to rest on His geut’e
breast, where no scorching fever
ban ever again marr that pure
brow.
She is survived by ) a loving
father, mother, four sisters and
three brothers and other dear rel
afciVes who loved her so dei „
d bye-.and Farewell, Little
Willie Belle.
We hope to meet you beyond the
River,
Where the surges cease to roll.
There in all the bright Forever,
Sorrow ne’er shall press the soul.
One who dearly loved her.
A Card of Thanks.
To our many friends who oame
land helped us during our great
sorrow and despair, when our
precious little daughter and sis;
ter, were lingering in her last
sickness, we want to express our
heartfelt thanks, as far as human
words can express them. We firm
ly believe that if human kind
ness could have raised her Aip, she
would certainly be here now. All
of our triends &id their best, and
we thank them from the bottom
of our hearts. When the last
came, and she left us, cur friendt
put her away and tried to comfort
us in our deep sorrow.
They will never be forgotten,
and we sincerely hope they all
know how much their kindness
\jras appreciated.
It was hard to give her up, but
we know it was all for the best.
Yours truly,
C. S. Arnold anH family.
