Resolutions of Esteem.
Perrry Baptist Church in Con
ference, Thursday Evening,
. Sept. 17th, 1908.
Whereas our beloved pastor Al
bert Sidney Dix, has redeived a
call from our sister church at
Forsyth, and considers it his dnty
to respond favorably thereto, we
in lovinggcounsel resolve: .That,
when we look baok upon the last
two years and a half in which he
hus minisiered unto us and fed
us with the Bread of Life, show
ing himself in every way a true
servant of our Master, it fills us
with inexpressible regret and sor
row to part with him whom we
have learned to value so highly
and to love so well..
By word and deed he has been
a power for good in our commu
nity. In word, conscientious,
straightforward, wise in deed,
thoughtful, tender, and kind.
Our prayers for his prosperity
go up to an ever ready, listening
ear. We wish for him many
years, knowing that they will be
years of usefulness, spent for God
and humanity.
Our best wishes go out to his
wife who has endeared herself to
us as a pastor’s true, help-meet,
and with her and the dear chil
dren we part with tender regret,
holding always for them a place
in our hearts.
May happiness dwell with them
in their new home, and may
God’s peace rest upon it.
Resolved that these resolutions
be entered upon the minutes and
published.
Unanimously adopted.
