Seeing through the Macon
news the sad death of the late
Hon. it. N. Holtzclaw of Perry Gr»
who passed into Eternity a few
days ago. We have known Judge
Holtzclaw for over 30 years, he
was a great to the Colored People,
and was always ready to counsel
them and help them. We met him
in Atlanta several years ago in
Legislature and he spoke for the
. rights of the Negroes of the South*
He was great and wonderful
character from the best blue blood
of the state. The whole family was
a blessing to the County. We re
member 25 years ago their Sainted
Father old Col Holtzclaw, was
a great friend to the Colored peo
ple, and would help them in all
troubles, the same spirits has re
mained with the late Judge It. N.
Hoi tzclaw. Voicing the sentiment
of the best Colored people of
Houston County in Saying we
Lament the loss of this great
and good man. Perry has lost so

Wright, Mr J H Davis, and Hon.
John Hodges and Dr. Charles R.
Mann and host of young men not
mentioned, who have been a bless
ing to the Colored People.
Resolution: whereas through
Divine Providence Judge R. N.
- Holtzclaw has called from labor to
reward, and whereas he was such
a good friend to tho Colored
People in Houston County. Re
solved that we extend to the
Breaved Family our heartfelt
sympathy.

ADMINISTRATORS’ SALE OF
LAND.
By virtue of an order of Court Ordi
nary of Houston County Ga. at the
January Term 1922, granted upon the
application of Jake Jones admr. of estate
of Mo.ses Hill Deceased, late of said
County, to sell the lands of the said
Mose Hill Deed, for the purpose of pay
ing the debts and distribution.
There will be sold before the Court
House door in Perry Ga. at public out
cry, to the highest bidder for oash, be
tween the legal hours of sale, on the
first Tuesday in February 1922, as the
property of said deceased, the following
described property to wit: All that tract
or parcels of landi, lying and being in
the 10th district of Houston County Ga.,
by original survey, now the upper town
district of said County, and being that
fifty acres of land, and better known
his father’s George Hill place, and
bought of the heirs at law of said estate;
Also that 12 acres of land purchased of
B. Harper; said two tracts of land,
bounded as follows; north by Smisson
& Evans land; east by lands of C. E.
Gilbert; south by lands of Aaron Shannon
Jr., and J. L. Fincher estate, and
west by B Harper’s estate lands, and
and being all the property owned by
Mose Hill at the time of bis death;
except four [4J acres of land the deceas
ed sold prior to his death, and lying on
the south side of lot No. 25 of said place
per deeds recorded.
