Petition.
Georgia, Houston County.
To tho Honorable Judge of the
Superior Cenrt of Heueton County. Goor*
gia.
' The petition of Mrs. Mollie C. Jones
as the Guardian of Charlio J. Jones re
spectfully shows as follows:
First. That your petitioner ie the
natural at well as the legal guardian of
both the property and person ef her son,
Charlie J. Jones, your petitioner having
been duly appointed and legally qualified
as snoh guardian in Houston County.
Second. Your petitioner further shows
that her said ward. Charlie J. Jones is
the owner of the following described real
estate, which your petitioner desires _ to
•ell at private sale to wit:
14 An undivided one twelfth interest in
and to all that certain lot or parcel of
land, situate lying and being in the
Ninth District of Houston County, Geor
gia, comprising Three Hundred and
Ninety Five.[395] acres more or loss,
and known as the Major Jones Home
Place, and bounded as follows: - Bounded
on the north by the lands of the Braswell
estate/ east by lands of Hale Georgia
Orchard Company, south by lands of
Fort Valley Fruit Farm, west by lands
of J. A. L. Wilson and M. F. Snow."
Third. Your petitioner desires to soil
said above described real estate at
private sale for the principal sum of Three
Thousand. Two Hundred and Fifty
($3,250.00) for the following reasons;-
Petitioner shows that her ward only owns
a small fractional part of the above do
scribed lands of 395 acres acres moro or
less, and that it is impracticable to par
t tion said land, that it .would be financial
ly hazardous and complicated to under
take to operate said farm as a partner
ship'with tho other joint ownovs of Ins
property, therefore your ptotitiouer be
lieves it to be decidedly for the best
interests of her said ward to sell his
interests in said property for said above
stated sum, she having boon offered this
amount and reinvest same in real estate
securities.
. Fpurth. Your petitioner believes tun
her ward will roalizo a very much larger
income from his estuto by selling this
property than he would if it is not sold,
and that a more advantageous sale can
be conducted at considerable less expense.
Fifth. Your petitioner, further shows
that notice of her intention to make this
application has been published once a
week for four weeks in The Home
.journal, a newspaper publisher at Perry,
Georgia, the official organ of said county
and being tho same paper in which the
legal edvertisements of the county are
published. require^ by law.
