GROVANiA EPWORTH LEAGUE
WORK OF 1922
The year just closed has been
one of the most profitable and
successful yea'r in the history of
the Grovania Epworth League
which was organized several years
ago by Rev, M F Beals, assisted
by Col. S. A. Nunn, the president
of the South Ga., Conference
Epworth League, with Miss
Bertha Sharpe as President. Since
the organization the following have
served as president: Mrs U. G.
Sharpe, Miss Bertha Sharpe, Miss
Jjouise Harison and Miss Irene
Baird.
The officers of this Chapter who
meet for monthly council on the
Tuesday'be fore the third Sunday
of each month on as follows:

• The regular work of visiting sick
etc. of the second department has
been supplemented tbeir year by
the clothing of an orphan boy to
'whom has been sent two boxes of
clothing, also a Christmas re*
memborance. Howard Butler, the
orphan boy was a visitor to our
church in July.
A monthly social has been held
regularly, the special days observed
being Valentines, Thanksgiving,
and Christmas.
The popularity of the monthly
social affairs is due to the careful
preparation and planning on the
part of the efficient superintendent
of third department, Mrs Pierce.

We feel that our League has
accomplished something for God
daring 1922 and we mean by the
help of God to do much more fcr
His Cause in the year 1923.
