SHOWER FOR BRIDE ELECT

Mrs. E W Traylor entertained
Tuesday afternoon with a linen
shower at the homo of Mrs. J D
Martin, Jr., complimenting Miss
Nell Brunson a beautiful bride-
to-be.
Lovely in every appointment
was the occasion. Numerous vas
es and bowls of nasturtiums were
used in the rooms and with the
crystal candle stick holding the
orange colored tapers the effect
one of beauty.
The punch bowl placed in the
breakfast room was presided over
by Misses Emily and Addie Kate
llartin and Laura Gilbert.
The guests were received by
Mrs. Traylor, Miss Brunssn, Miss
Hegg and Mrs Martin.
Miss Brunson's dress was grey
canton crepe with whioh she wort
a picture hat of lavender.

The marriage of Miss Neil Brun
son and Mr. Thomas Cate J was a
pretty event of last week, taking
place Wednesday evening at 7;30
o’clock at the home of the bride’s
parent, Mr. and Mrs. G B Brunson
at Parry.
The ceremony was performed on
the porch which was artistically
decorated for the accasion in bask
ets and vases of daises, the wed
ding flower, and an alter of palms
and ferns made a background for
the wedding party.
A daisy chain, carried by Cath
erine Martin Bob Cater Masseo
and Billie Massee made an aisle
for tho attendants who descended
from a stairway in the hall.
Mrs. Eliza Cater Massee, in lav
ender goorgette, was matron of
honor and entered first. Mrs- S
L Norwood, Jr., and Miss Norine
Swanson, wearing dresses of greon
taffeta entered together and were
followed by Mrs. Charles A. Allen
of Birmingham, Ala., and Miss
Corrinne D up can of Atlanta,wear-
ing taffetas in French blue. Miss
es Elizabeth and Dorothy Brun*
son, in pink taffetapreceeded their
sister, who entered with her father
who gave her in marriage. They
were met at the alter by the groom
who was attended by his brother,
Mr. Duncan Cater. The ring
ceremony was performed by Rev.
W H Lord of the Perry Baptist
Church.
Preceeding the ceremony Mrs.
Charles G. Harris rendered To a
Wild Rose (McDowell) as a violin
solo, and Mr. Clarence Brunson
sang Until. Mendelsshon’s Wed
ding March was played by Miss
Jimmie Hogg of Beuna Vista.
The bride was girlishly beauti
fill in a wedding gown of white
taffeta and a veil caught with
orange blossoms. She carried a
shower bouquet of Shasta daises
showered with valley lillies.
Following the ceremony a recep
tion was held. Receiving with the
bridal party and Mrs. Brunson
were Mrs. E W Traylor, Mrs, T D
Mason, Mrs. S G Rogers, Mrs J D
Martin, Jr., Mrs. P H Skellie Mrs
E M Beckham and Mrs. R L
Mnrchman.
Mrs. Outer’s going away gown
was of embroidered navy Poiret
twill. After a short wedding trip
Mr. and Mrs. Cater will be at
home in Perry.

SENIORS ENTERTAINED.
On last Tuesday evening, June
19th, Misses Agues Dean and Mar
garet Cooper'u’ere joint hostesses
at a prom party at the home of
Mrs. H T Dean, given for three
members of the graduating class,
Misses Frances Cooper, Lucile
Bechham and Louise Warren.
The parlor was beautifully deo-
orated with bhasta daises this be
ing the class flower. The halt was
decorated with. Careapsis ami the
table from which punch was served
pink and white Altheas.
Later a delicious ice course was
served carrying out the class
colors of green and wh ite.. Abou t,
fifty guest were present. Among
the out of town guest were Misses
Irene Fenn of Rochelle, Louise
Plnksten of Parrot Georgia and
#r. Allen Crowell of Mobile Ala.

BRIDAL PARTY.
A series of parties have been
given the past week in honor of
Mrs Tom Cater nee Miss Nell
Brunson, whose wedding Wednes
day evening was a beautiful home
affair.
After the rehersal Tuesday
evening Mrs. Eliza C Massee and
Miss Kalherine Cater entertained
the bridal party witn a lovely re
ception. The lower floor was
thrown together and made beauti
ful with baskets and bowls of love
ly flowers. The whole house was
lighted entirely by candles.
Receiving tne guests with Mrs.
Massee was Mrs. j* L Cater, and
Mrs. R O Pale of Hawkinsville.
Punch was served in the back
hall by Misses leathering Cater
and Miss Lila Pale.
