Herbert Murray, ef Fort Valley,

The yoeng conple were married
at the home ef Rev. and Mrs, Loy
Warwick on Everett Square, Fort
Valley. Mr. Warwick pronouncing
the nuptial vows. The marriage
took place the evening of Wed
nesday, Jane 27, and after a brief
wedding tour Mr and Mrs Murray
will reside in Fort Valley.
Mrs Murrey is one ef Fort Val-
ley’e most nttraetive young women
being a striking brunette, and Mr.
Murray is a young businma man.-

WASNER-MOORE
The shipment of peaches in car
lots from Perry has reached a total
of J46 cars to dale, including 43
cars of Uneedas and and 83 cars
of Hileys and 20 carsCorman.
The movement of Hileys has
reached its height and will be
ptactically completed by the end
of Jte week. Georgia Bells are ex'-
peeled to begin moving Monday
and continue for ten days.
Estimates on the Georgia Beil
and Elberta crop in this section
and the shippments of other
varieties now moving indicate that
more than 400 cars will be shipp
ed from Perry this season.
The need of better facilities for
moving the heavy freight sfii
meat out of Perry was forcebly
demonstrated one night last week
when a train of eighteen cars
stalled on a grade just outsids the
City and it was necessary to de
vide the load and make two trips
to carry it into Fort Valley.
This particular train consisted
of ten cars of peaches, six cars of
lumber and two cars of produce,
bub of Perry.
A bevier engine, making four
trips a day has now been provided
to take care of the heavy freight
mdvement.

The happy couple will make
short visits to Oglethorpe and
Perry before going to Valdosta to
make their home.
The bride is a daughter of Mrs
N T Griggs and the groom a son of
Mrs S F Pierce of Perry and both
have many friends here who are
extending hearty good wishes for
happiness.

Mr. B R Stripling of Jackson
ville Fla., died at his home there
June29th. at at age of 62.
Mr Stripling was born and
reared to manhood at Perry where
he has many friend* who will re
gret to learn of hi* death.
Mr. Stripling moved from Ferry
to Adthony Fla., in 1874. nftei;-
wards moving U Jacksonville. He
married Mi** Katie Paul of Perry
