On August Iflth about 3 o'clock
a, m. the death Angel came and
took away our dear husband,
father and grandfather. He was
sick onlya short J,ime and it seems
like we just cant give him up, but
he has justs paid the debt we all
must pay Booner or later. Oh how
sad it is to give him up, but God
knows best, then let’s look on the
bright side and try to be sub
missive to his divine will, for he
has passed that dark dreaded
river,
The Angel of death onefe more
has come, and enterted a home so
bright, bearing away a sweet dear
one to the far off distant light.
We do not hear your dear sweet
voice, your form we see no more. '
We only live to meet you again
abovo on yonder Shore.
Asprecions one from us is gone
a voice wo loved is stilled, a place
is vaeant in our home that can
ne’er tie filled.
Yes he’s gone but not forgotten,
never will his memory fade.
Sweetest thoughts will ever
linger round the grave where be
was laid. God in his wisdoii has
recalled the one be loved, aud
though his body slumbers here,
his soul is safe in heaven.
Oh our home is so sad without
him and has that vacant chair,;
but we must all try to live to meet
him again in that beautiful heaven
ly home, where there be no more
aad parting but ever lasting joy 1
and love.
Mrs. Annie Boswell, Children
and Grand-children.
