were candlesticks to match in
which were placed tall red tapers.
Marking the place of each guest
were cards depicting a wedding
party and also small red cards on
which were written conundrums
that were read aloud by the guests.
Throughout the delicious lunch
eon the Christmas note of red and
green prevailed in tho courses n?d
at the end silver compotes of grape
fruit rhiue in rod and green were
passed.
