Circle No. 1-of the Methodist
Woman's Missionary Society se
lected the name Willing Workers
for their circle at their literary
meeting Monday at the home of
Mrs. Cland Andrew.
Mrs. M. G. Edwards, leader, led
the devotional. Mrs. Chas. Gray
and Mrs. S. P. Billingsly gave the
literary program on Stewardship.
There were 16 members present.
Delightful refreshments wore
served at tho conclusion of the
program.
The Ida Rogers Circle met with
Mrs. H. T. Dean, the leader, Mon
day afternoon with 14 present. A
Bible lesson on Amos was given by
M rs. Minnie Coney. The circle
voted to dispense with refresh
ments at all meetings.
The Pearl Edwards Circle bold
their literary meeting with Mrs.
Jim Coleman Monday afternoon.
There were 18 members present.
The devotional was led by Mrs.
B. C. Holtzclaw. Mrs. J.M. Good
en and Mrs. W. E. Swanson sang a
beautiful duet. Mrs. J. A. Grubbf
and Mrs. .J- L. Hodges gave read
ings on Stewardship. A short busi
ness session was held with the
leader, Mrs. S. L. Norwood, Jr,
presiding. She appointed several
committees to assist in carrying on
the work of the circle.
The hostess, assisted by Mrs. N.
V. Geycr, served delicious refresh
ments in conclusion.

A. president, the Perry Parent
Teacher Associaton entertained
at a lovely tea at the home of
Mrs. George Jordan Thursday af
ternoon.
The handsome colonial home
of Mrs. Jordan was prettily dec
orated with red carnations and
white narcissi, artistically arrang
ed in bowls and vases.
The beautifully appointed tea
table was overlaid with an ex
quisite Irish linen lace cover, and
had for a central decoration a
large silver vase of red carna
tions. On either side of this
were silver candelabra holding
lighted red tapers. At intervals
on the table were silver compotes
containing nuts and mints. The
tea was poured from handsome
silver tea services by Mrs.
George Riley and Mrs Whit
Tray lor.
Mrs. Miller Edwards received
the guests at the door. In the
receiving line were the honorees
and Mrs. Jordan and Mrs. Holt
Skellie, president of the Perry
P.-T. A. They received the
guests in the music room.
Musical selections were beauti
fully rendered by Mrs. George
Nunn, pianist, and Mrs. Chas.
Harris, violinist. Mrs. P. H.
Jeter entertained with humorous
readings during the afternoon.
Those assisting in entertaining
were Mrs. S. L. Norwood, Jr.,
Mrs. Norman Geyer, and Mrs.
Tom Cater and Mrs. L. M.

bride, was the attractive honor
ree of the pretty bridge-luncheor
given by Mrs. Tom Cater anc
Miss Katharine Cater at the home
of Mrs. C. E. Brunson Friday.
The living room where luncheon
was served at the card tables
was decorated with pink car
nations and white narcissi, ef
fectively arranged.
After the delicious luncheon,
bridge was played. The high
score prizi, a bottle of bath salt?,
was won by Mrs. John Winn.
Mrs. Rogers was given a fancy
towel for guest prize.
The guests were Mrs. Rogers,
Mrs. John Winn, Mrs. N. V.
Geyer, Mrs. J. A. Grubb, Mrs.
