Jimmy Ivey of Oglethorpe, Ga.
who made his home with Mr.and
Mrs. John Williamson while em
ployed in the local Rogers store,
entered North Georgia College,
Dahlonega, Jan. 3.
Jimmy Wilson celebrated his
sixth birthday anniversary at a
delightful party given Friday by
his mother, Mrs. Sam Wilson, at
their home.

Mrs. H. V. Hobbs, mother of
Mrs. B. H. Andrew Jr., in Haw
kinsville Saturday were: Mr. and

Mr. J. M. Tolleson Jr. will
reach home during the weekend,
after having received his dis
charge at Camp Gordon, Augus
ta. He has spent three years in
the service and has just returned
from the E, T. 0. where heserv-,
ed eighteen months.
Mrs. Hugh Lawson came to
her home here from Macon and
spent last Thursday. Her aunt,
Mrs. W. J. Little, accompanied
her and visited relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Etheridge
had as their guests during the
weekend their children and their
families: Mr. and Mrs. J. P.
Etheridge Jr., and son, James
111, of Tampa, Fla.; and Mr. and
Mrs, Cooper Etheridge and*
children, Charlie and Carol, of
Augusta.

A. work, was the speaker at a
Junior R. A. son-father banquet
held at the church Tuesday even
ing. The boys attended a study
course preceding the banquet.

mothers and other W. M. S.mem
bers in serving the supper,
Mrs. J, L. Riley of Uniontown,
Pa. is visiting her mother, Mrs.
N. C. Wellons.
Mr. J. P. Rishcr reached home
Thursday night from Fort Mc-
Pherson where he received his
honorable discharge from the U.
S. Army. He was in the service
ten months several months of
which was spent in Japan.

BLOODWORTH-BALCOM
Mr. and Mrs. Roy L.
worth of Perry announce the
marriage of their daughter, Eva
Roy, to Raymond L. Balcom of
Macon, the wedding having taken
place Sunday, Jan. 13, at 10
o’clock at the home of the bride’s
aunt, Mrs. Ernest Balcom in
Macon. Mr. Balcom received
his discharge from the Army
Oct. 15 after 18 months service
overseas.

Mr. and Mrs. Grady L. Gofer
announce the engagement of
their daughter, Miss Mary Wood,

brother, Mr. Owen Shackleford,
who has recently returned from
service in the Pacific theatre of
war.
Mr. T. F. Hardy Jr. returned
home Sunday after serving 38
months in the U. S. Army, 15 of
which were spent in the E. T. 0.
