the two years Mr. Campbell was
in the service.

Mrs. J. S. Rainey is recuperat
ing satisfactorily at her homei
from an operation she had in the
Macon Hospital Saturday.

Mr. Emmit Akin is in the Ma
con hospital where he under
went an operation Saturday.
His condition is satisfactory.

honorable discharge from the U.
S. Army Jan. 12, after four years
of service, seven months of
which was spent in the Pacific
area.

to Perry this week from Brook
lyn, N. Y. where he moved with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.
Bernstein in July. He will en
ter the senior class of Perry
High school of which he has
been a member since the first
grade. He will make his home
with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and
Mrs. Max Moore.
On last Thursday evening Mr.
and Mrs. Alton Hardy were hosts
at dinner to the Junior deacons j
of the Baptist church; Rev. J. A.
Ivey; and Mr. J. M. Gooden and
Mr. F. M. Greene Jr., senior
j deacon advisers. Mr. Hardy is

the home of his parents, Mr. and

from Fort McPherson where he
will receive his discharge from
the U. S. Army. He was in the
army 45 months and had six
months service in the E. T. 0.
and six in the Pacific area. Mr.
and Mrs. Talton will spend some
time with his parents.
